A Tip on how to make a character

Okay so, since there’s Wish out…it sucks and I just wanted to make this to help people to make characters without it being a Mary-Sue or an Anti-Sue, or just mess the whole thing up. Reminder, I am NOT  an expert!! I just hope this could help someone. This entry is one of the millions of sources you can get help from, and there’s ones more reliable than this entry!

Okay, this first step is very important. You have to give a character flaws and how they deal with those flaws. It helps with character development and helps the viewer understand the character better. The best thing to do is to visualize it as a wall. I know, corny but let me talk. Imagine a character without flaws, a wall that’s smooth with nothing for the viewer to latch into to understand the character. But add ridges and whatnot, you’ll have a decent character. A character that a view can latch onto. But there’s a balance to this, too much flaws can make a character un-likable. You can do your own research on that.

Next, Involve your character with a dynamic to the antagonist. It’s pretty fun to do, it could be as simple as good and bad or as complicated as The Parallel Dynamic™️. I dunno what this could help with but it can make the story more interesting and involve a relationship with the protagonist and the antagonist way more complicated than just good guy kills bad guy the end.

(Okay I’ll update this entry later when I do more research waaaaa)
