in honor of Atsushi Sakurai

since it will soon be 8 months anniversary of his death and i was also quite bored, so i had to be creative, i decided to make a feminine version of Atsushi Sakurai in the Picrew app.

fans will probably recognize that i tried to make Acchan's look similar to his look in the music video for the song Dress, which is one of Buck-Tick's most popular songs in my opinion.

i myself started listening to B-T 2 years ago when i became interested in visual kei. Dress was one of the first songs i listened to. i began to admire not only the band's style of clothing or make-up, but over time especially their genre diversity. the genre range of B-T started with post-punk and gothic rock, then they moved more towards industrial music, finally moving to more modern rock. this is one of the groups along with Rammstein, where i really liked all the members, but i looked up to Atsushi the most. i mostly adored his authenticity, voice, appearance, kindness and his deep thoughts, which he projected in his lyrics. since visual kei isn't popular in my country and especially not among my friends, i don't have anyone to talk about my favorite vkei groups, primarily B-T, with, but honestly, i don't mind because i enjoy it by myself. i hope to meet someone from the vkei community one day. and while we're on the topic of the vkei community, one of the bands that started the whole vkei thing was B-T. many vkei enthusiasts fell in love with Acchan. as a result, it was unbelievable when he died in October 2023. he went through many health problems in his life but always managed to overcome them. the loss of Atsushi Sakurai - a talented singer-songwriter, cat lover and a beautiful person, both in appearance and personality - was a huge loss for vkei.
