Anyways why is it kinda frowned upon (at least where I live) that it's bad for ur partner to have a bsf of the opposite gender? I mean if u can't trust ur bf to be around his girl bsf i think u have bigger problems to worry about lol. But then again ive never dated anyone so idk how that scene works.

Best friends of the other gender are already uncommon enough as it is, but the societal standard of cheap hookups has further poisoned the idea. Today, it's more often than not that younger people can't form bonds with people of the opposite sex without developing a romantic/sexual bond. Personally, I feel like this has stemmed from the very segregated idea of gender in friendships, where in the 80's, you probably didn't have a friend of the opposite sex unless you had the intention of a romantic relationship with them. I believe society is struggling to heal from this, as people are making opposite gender best friends but we still have the problem of them becoming lovers. In my opinion, opposite gendered best friends are fine as long as you know your partner wouldn't develop something with them. If they would or if they do, it's best to break up for the betterment of the both of you. Being insecure about your partner having a friend of the opposite sex is prickly because it can be both a trust issue and a genuine concern. If you're having problems like that, talk it out or break it off. The right person would obviously not leave you for their friend, and you'd be able to trust them with that.
Be cautious, not suspicious. The former will find problems, and the latter will make them. If you ever decide to date, I hope you find somebody who would never do such a thing.
