pretty privilege

ngl for a long time ive been denying that 'pretty privilege' is actually a real thing because it seems like such an online concept to me, but now im thinking maybe it is especially considering we live in an age of social media

it didnt really hit me til today when i saw some girl ik from my school posting ab how "all these girls go out and be social and look pretty w out trying while i js play roblox w my hot bf and look ugly" n i was like dude what r u on

bc then i saw all her little friends commenting "sameee lets bedrot together" when i saw them like last weekend chugging heineken and catching stds...

maybe that was a little harsh of me to say cuz ur totally obligated to feel that way but it made me think of those kids in those girls classes who they probably arent even aware of that arent as hygenic or pretty or social and spend their lunchtimes in bathroom stalls n corridors

its not like it sucks being a 'quiet kid' but they probably get fomo sometimes, whereas if u missed a function 1 week ago its not the end of ur life

idk it js seems kinda ignorant to me and its not a serious issue or anything but the concept of pretty privilege makes more sense to me now
