hey guys!!
I've already made a blog about black holes, and I really like this paradox, but to properly understand it let's explain what quantum information is!
Quantum information is basically the information of an object made of atoms. An apple, for example, contains some kind of quantum information and even if you break it or eat it, its information still exists in some form in the universe. Quantum information cannot be lost.
What black holes do is that they consume this information, and we don't know where it goes. It might exist in some form inside the event horizon, or even on the surface of the event horizon, but it can't just disappear (this would break the laws of physics)
What creates a problem tho is Hawking radiation. Hawking radiation is thermal radiation released outside of the event horizon. This shouldn't happen, since electromagnetic radiation cannot escape from the event horizon. However, particles of antimatter and matter are disrupted by the black hole, so instead of canceling each other out, they instead draw energy from the black hole.
The black hole and its mass basically evaporate. But if it evaporates, where does the quantum information go?
This is the Hawking's black hole paradox. There is a theory that the information itself is in the radiation. The information might be stored somewhere that we just can't imagine. We don't know.
its okay to correct me or add stuff! should I start doing research about the solar system??
