Page Updates!

Hm! I'm going to be honest, I'm still figuring out the differences between blogs, bulletins, and forums but for now I figured I would make a quick blog to talk about what I wanna do with my page!

Obviously starting by filling out more of my interests, which is hard considering attention problems + how often they change lol. And I want to figure out how to change the titles of the interests, and whether I can do that with this template (link here!) or if I would need to make a different one. So far HTML wise I've just been frankenstein-ing code together and seeing what works.

I'm proud of myself because originally I wanted a scroll bar in the interests section which I did figure out how to do, however I ran into the problem of the text boxes automatically expanding as more text was added. I ended up choosing to do expandable lists instead and I really like it! A lot less cluttered and easier to read I feel like.

I've also been looking into music for my page. I know how to do the autoplay stuff and there's also plany of templates BUT for my page I think I'd really prefer having an actual player so that when people load in they can choose to play, pause, adjust the volume. I've looked into like the actual codes to be able to get the music player and I've been able to make it work, just not on spacehey. Spoiler alert: it's probably going to play napcast or spellcasting. I have a few songs in mind that I love and thing would suit my page really well ^w^

I can't imagine that this site is particularly screen reader friendly, but I've found that adding alt text to pictures and GIF's I add has been really easy! I can't seem to figure out how to add it to my icon however.

Generally I guess I'm still figuring out how exactly I want to use spacehey beyond playing PNG's on my page lol. I have been having a lot of fun learning HTML stuff and exploring what other people have done with it. Honestly there's so many really cool and inspiring pages, and it makes my brain itch trying to stick to one kind of theme! Maybe in the future I'll save the code for different themes for my page as I make them so I can swap through them whenever I like.
