Hated by a small/dying fandom you’re in

Getting this off my chest

Being in a small/dying fandom doesn’t always mean it’s some kind of magical world of friendship mlp type of shit. I stayed in that fandom for years and now looking at it, it has become the next “MHA fandom”.

I was (still is) too scared to interact and engage with anyone in that fandom after having previously given the cold-shoulder by multiple users (including few of “big” artists) and majority of anonymous confession posts (implied) directed against me for my own opinions and headcanons. 

Even in the fandom’s public discord server, either you’ll be ignored or they’ll just be rude to you just because (for example) you’re one of the very FEW people who doesn’t like Bakugo x Deku and automatically judge you as “homophobic” for that, which makes 0 sense!

Like OK, IDGAF about a ship or whatsoever, but having the entire fandom hating on me over my own perspective and be the one to maintain common sense?? Rlly? Besides that, what did I even do wrong to get shunned like that?!

Yeah I got extremely insecure because of that, it’s like anytime I tried to engage with others in that fandom, I always get this really bad vibes like they don’t want me around, and later they be talking shit behind my back at some point. Idk who can I trust anyone anymore in that fandom anymore. 

One of the biggest cons of being in a small fandom is that you easily know a lot of people there (even for their small content and arts) yet very few people wanna interact with you regardless how long you’ve been in that fandom or how often you posted. Don’t even get me started on the confessions post page.
