Is tumblr even still alive? You know, im that kind of person who has a lot to say but can never get it out at the right moment. I'd love to start a vlog somewhere, you know, to drain all those ideas. although i have tried to do it here i have to say it doesnt get much exposure + the community is still young and there isnt that big of a variety when it comes to hobbies as one might expect. i guess im just looking for a vlog where i can be myself and post whatever i want while at the same time sharing it with people and not it just drowning in a sea of other blogs, so i guess thats why im considering tumblr and not spacehey itself. i'm pretty young so ive never actually been into tumblr but yeah, i'd enjoy having something like that because having an alternate instagram account defo means someone who knows me is going to find it.
on trying a new vlog

tumblr is def still alive but it takes a while to build a solid community that actually shares ur interests and responds to ur stuff. but imo on spacehey it takes even longer.
also on tumblr everyone has a feed so if ur posts align w/ other peoples interests and has the right hashtags, they show up in their feed so ur posts reach more people in that way.

do u think not having a specific theme for my blog might affect how much it takes me to build that community?

if ur talking about building community on tumblr, i would say yes. in my experience, people tend to only follow others who share specific interests bc then their posts show up on their feed. for ex, im really into y2k culture, so if i see a blog about that i would follow, but if posts about the 70s from that blog are showing up in my feed, i would most likely unfollow them cause i dont really wanna see that. its different if u actually interact w/ people tho bc then u build that relationship thats different from just liking/reblogging posts.
