Why are we going backwards

I wish that people would be more honest with their emotions. I know we don't live in a world of sunshine and rainbows but I don't think we live in the apocalypse either. You letting yourself cry doesn't mean that you're dooming your entire bloodline to eternal damnation. It makes me a bit sad to see that people see themselves as a machine that constantly needs repairs. While it's okay to improve yourself, you don't have to change the entire exterior of a car do be acceptable. Maybe the color is good. Idk
