Hiding My Heart

I look at you, my heart skips a beat,

But I hide my feelings, keep them tucked, discreet.

You're my dear friend, but I want so much more,

Wishing you'd see me, the way I adore.

I'm too scared to say how I truly feel,

What if you reject me? My heart you would steal.

So I keep it all inside, a secret so deep,

Praying one day your love for me you will reap.
