Thoughts I have as a high school graduate...

It's Sunday, 6/9/2024 as of when I'm typing this. Just a few days ago on Friday, 5/31/2024, I said my farewells to my teachers as it was the last time I ever attended class at my high school (which I can now say I'm an official alumnus of). I can't help but to reflect on my previous 13 years of schooling (as well as my 2 years of preschool for a total of 15 years).

Honestly, it feels weird to me knowing that my time in the public education system is finally over. The very thing that seemed forever distant to me as a young child has now finally happened to me and the rest of the class of 2024. I can't believe I've finally reached this point in my life, but not before a lot of wacky shenanigans happened along the way, of course.

From my first day of kindergarten to being a victim of bullying (and being a bully myself in preschool and kindergarten) to moving away to another city and attending a new elementary school starting in the 1st grade to finishing the 6th grade and going onto middle school to having pretty much my entire life do a 180 and a lot more, I certainly have plenty of anecdotes regarding my time in the k-12 system. I may even create some blog posts regarding these tales I have on here at some point just for the hell of it (like when I got my 2nd lunch detention for flipping off some kid in class or when I once tricked all of my classmates into thinking I was possessed just by gently blowing on a pencil for instance). There are so many things I remember about being in school (plus I'm about to start college on August 26th, 2024).

Throughout all of the good times and the bad times, though, the one thing that has never changed (and never will) is me being different from most of the other people I've encountered in real life and all of the experiences I've gained from being an oddball on the schoolyard, for the better and for the worse. The important thing though, is that I made it through all of these years to see myself finally graduating from high school and being able to reflect back on my memories leading up to this very moment.

But yeah, I'm going to bed now and I might publish some more blog posts soon. And hopefully this stupid cold I caught from Six Flags Magic Mountain between 5/31 - 6/1/2024 on that grad nite field trip (came down on 6/3/2024 around midnight) goes away soon.
