YMG

In 2014, cousins and friends of my cousins created a music group (rap) titled YMG. I at the time listened to rap music with my dad because i was 4 and had the sudden idea to make a song. I did and it was bad but was good enough for my cousins to let me into their clique. (They were 8-14, i was 4-5) later in 2015, we recorded more and had one song that blew up locally but nothing else. I just did adlibs and small features. In 2016 i took the gig serious and started working with other members (ex. YMG Shane, YMG Ducky, YMG Bo$$) but i mainly worked with YMG Bobby. He was my age (6) and he was cool. His family was affiliated with the Grape Street Watts Crips located in California, but they abandoned the life to Louisiana. Some became affiliated with other crips. Everything was going took until something happened. YMG Shane got killed in a drive-by with a rival gang, and YMG Clean, our best producer, went silent on social media. YMG almost broke up due to the situation. In 2018, the worst blow occurred. YMG Bobby, also known as Lil Bobby, was shot and killed with his mother and sister in a Walmart by affiliates of the Los Angeles crips. That caused the clique to break up because they didn’t want anyone else to pass. YMG Ski (born 2000) produced for me (Kiko now) from 2019-2022 when he decided to expand his career as Young Ski. YMG Hoodie also did the same going as “Young Mir” from 2020-2023 but he eventually quit rap. I was YMG Slatt from 2015-2020 after that and now my rap name is Kiko, but my social media tags contain YMG (KikoYMG) to honor YMG as a group.
