I’m the same, it just won’t work for me AT ALL. I’ve used all different codes and host sites, I think it’s just because I’m on mobile, even though I’ve seen others do it from mobile idk :(
Yeah when I use the link generated, it's broken, but if I open the image in a new tab and copy the link that has the file format at the end, it gets the actual image and isn't broken. My blog post with three images took a few tries before I realized the problem lmao

Nope, I just copy the link generated from uploading to Imgur. Maybe I'll give that a go. Thank you!

Nope, do you have another one you'd recommend? I've only ever used Imgur because of Reddit
