This is a copy from a bulletin I made.
My experience: Mitski concert in Madrid.
Mitski has been one of my favorite artists forever, and I have to mainly thanks my sister, who was the first person to introduce her to me. This 4th of june 2024, In El Real Jardín Botánico Alfonso XIII, Mitski was organizing a concert from her european tour of the album ''The Land Is Inhospitable, So We Are''
Honestly, the botanic garden was extremely pretty, green everywhere and it had some led lights with some pleasant colors projecting over the leaves, some food trucks and drink stands for both adults and teens.
so many alternative people and some music from other small artists on the background. Me and my sister got inside pretty quickly, so it was nice not having to wait a lot of time to get in. Tho, there was a huge line for the merch, worth it thoooo, I bought Mitski's European tour shirt, which is kinda nice and I love the design on it, along the back where it shows the places she has done concerts in this tour. Madrid being the penultimate from this list.
After we looked around to see the garden, we went to our seats in the stands and waited for 15 mins, which weren't too much. After that time, Mitski's band came out, and eventually, Mitski did too. The stage was so good, with led lights and smoke thingys, it was perfect, Mitski performed some of her songs from the new album and from other albums as well, she did great and the interpretation of each song was really perfect, tho my favorite was ''I bet on losing dogs'' where mitski got on her knees and hands and began to act like a dog, really silly honestly. Not only her dancing or vocals, but her band was extremely talented, they knew how to play different instruments and made the concert feel a total different experience, and I can't forget about the lights and scenery, how it matched perfectly the mood for the song, and of course, the cameras that were pointing to her and the big screens.
She spoke spanish pretty well, even tho she was nervous, saying that she didn't speak it too well (SHE DID SPEAK IT REALLY GOOD) and was telling us how difficult it is for her to understand us spanish speakers because we speak way too fast (real)
Well, almost at the end, she told us how special this concert was for her and that this would never ever repeat because we were there, individually in our exact spot.
And then, it ended. Or so we thought, after a minute, she came back, and began to perform ''Nobody'' literally everyone got excited and we started singing out loud, at the end of Nobody I couldn't help but cry out of excitement, and after that ''Washing Machine Heart'' was also sung, which also made me happy, so I quickly wiped my tears away to sing along my sister and every single person I was sharing this moment with.
