Dream I had last night

Recently, one of my friends found out that I haven't seen Mean Girls, so she told me that we should watch it at some point. So last night, I had a dream where I was talking to my mom about something and mentioned that to her. She asked me what Mean Girls was, and I said, "it's a movie, a lot of people really like it." She said, "When did it come out?" and I said, "idk, 2000? 2004?"

Obviously that's a little bit after she stopped paying attention to movies like that, so she said, "oh, 2004? I've never heard of it." So I pulled out my phone to google it and show her a picture of the DVD cover or something, thinking that might jog her memory. To my surprise, I could not find a single search result about the actual film. I even tried using other search engines and specifying my search, but it just didn't come up. I expressed this, and my mom was like, "are you sure that's the name of the movie?" And I was like, "yeah, I'm pretty sure! It's really popular." But there was absolutely 0 record of the film's existence, I felt like I was losing my mind.

I had been transported to an alternate timeline where the movie "Mean Girls" never existed, but I didn't know enough about the movie to describe it in a way that people would believe me about it being real.

And there's something funny about that to me, because it's pretty similar to the movie Yesterday lol. If you don't know, that's a movie where a struggling musician guy gets hit by a bus and gets transported to this alternate timeline where the Beatles never were a band. So he publishes all the Beatles songs he remembers under his own name and everyone thinks he wrote them. I think there's another person in the movie who remembers the old timeline, but honestly that movie was soooo mid, I don't really remember.

Anyway, imagine if in that movie, there was another person who remembered the other timeline and knew of the Beatles, but had never listened to a Beatles song and didn't know any of their names or anything. Really just heard of the Beatles because they were popular. And in the end of the movie, when the guy reveals that all of his songs are Beatles songs, that one person is watching the broadcast like "no way", and their partner is like "what?", and they're like, "I can't believe those were all Beatles songs and nobody noticed. Aren't they really famous?" and their partner is like, "who are the Beatles? I've never heard of them." So they say, "they're this old band?" and they finally try to search it up, but obviously nothing comes up, and their partner says, "whatever, this guy seems crazy. Are you sure you've actually heard of this band? Name one song that isn't something this guy released." But then they can't name one song lol
