Bad Horror Movie Rec - "Intruder"

INTRUDER

This movie is an alright way to spend 90 minutes. The twists and turns are delightfully obvious, and killer's POV shots make up an almost gratuitous portion of the film. The victims themselves are not all that memorable, to me at least, but Intruder makes up for that by having a tremendously entertaining last 30 minutes. As far as killer confrontations go, this one's pretty damn good. I am a little obsessed with the slasher himself. Freakiest manlet who kisses decapitated heads and loves falling into phone booths. Given that he's not fully present for much of the movie, his ability to demonstrate such a presence in the little time he has is legitimately impressive. There are also some pretty creative kills! Really fun shit. Meat slicers, meat hooks (classic), blood that drips onto a lamp and creates some fun mood lighting? I think so. Campy fun sitting just at the end of the 80s slasher craze in the familiar environment of a supermarket. Oh, and Bruce Campbell is there for a little bit. Good fun.
