My Oral Exam :3

HEY HEY HEY EVERY!!!!!

So today I passed my oral exam that I've been preparing for like 3 weeks and apparently I started working on it early giving the fact that people on the class gc were still working on it at 5 am XD

So for context in France we have an oral exam at the end of middle school to graduate (keep in mind that middle school lasts much longer in France i think 2 years longer than in america, you start high school at around 16yo here) and basically you can make it about whatever you want literally. I could have made mine about undertale and deltarune if I wanted to. I didn't because I was really afraid that i would have misunderstood what I was asked for in the paper (I always misunderstand what I'm asked to do) but I have a friend who made her presentation about Gorillaz and she told me it went really well so it was super cool !! I made mine about the fermi paradox and since I have nothing better to do I will shortly explain here what it's about :

The main question of my presentation was "If the conditions for life to appear can be met so easily that around 500 million exoplanets in our galaxy hold them, why haven't we yet found life?"

The Fermi paradox in itself is the question " Are we alone in the universe" and I basically analyzed two theories of it in my presentation 

-The Great Filter, a revolutionary leap that would annihilate every single civilization once it passes it (the question being whether our civilization has passed it or it is in our way

-The Dark Forest, basically the universe Is a dark forest where every single civilization hides itself from the other to avoid mutual annihilations due to the fear of the unknown.

My conclusion was that humanity lacked the means to be able to travel far into space and our communication ways remained far too "primitive" to be able to easily detect civilizations but also it would perhaps be wiser to shut the fuck up and avoid getting our asses killed because we don't know who we bout to deal w!!!!!!!

Now I think I kinda did fail because I kept stuttering too much and I have a problem is that I always talk so fast it's insane even in regular conversations no one ever keeps up w what I'm saying shehsjhsjsjbsbs and also in the questions the judges (my professors) asked me they were a bit tough (I had brought up the Drake Equation who basically calculates the number of civilizations in our galaxy in a very approximative way) and I was asked to give them my opinion on which factor lessened most the chances of life developing which I had never thought about.

Also my french teacher looked at me so weird when I was presenting I think I failed XD I'll ask her if it wasn't too bad tomorrow but stress rlly did fuck me up even though I worked very hard on it because I love the fermi paradox!!!!! I think I'm gonna get around 60-80 best case scenario, which is pretty bad because my mom's expecting me to get at least 95/100 XD I hope they won't be too harsh and that I'll get a grade that will meet my mom's expectations!!!!!!! For now I have a migraine every time I stress a lot (which is every day guys chronic stress sucks!!!!n) i'll get paracetamol if I'm not too lazy to get up.
