yesterday we wanted to go to our rehearsal room, we were walking as usual, where we go through a park with a so-called "dog zone", a gated area for dogs essentially. Right there, outside of that dog zone fence, was a young raven that looked distressed and was not able to fly. We waited some time and checked the situation. A lot of crows (10) were in the trees krah-krah-ing the hell out of their beaks, they were SO LOUD. After all, a dude with 3 dogs came out of the dog zone and we started talking to him bout the bird. He said he's a parrot owner of 6 and won't be able to take care of the young bird but he'd seen the crow struggle earlier. He suggested that we should take the bird for 2 weeks to be safe and if the bird stayed here it would be dead soon. (people don't use leashes and such...) he also told us if we would take it to animal care they would rather euthanize it than take care. SO YEAH, we took it home for just 1 night and had a lil side quest of feeding a wild crow that was actually pretty handtame. We made him/her do some flying exercises and they explored their wing strength. so we released back to the same park in a secure spot and just hope that the bird will be fine after all. (we might check on the bird later, since tonight will be a storm and rain.... omg Y_Y)
we had a young crow over night (pic) + story time (Best day in my life so far)
