The challenges of having fat fingers, but loving jewelry

I am in no way considered “fat”. I am not overweight. One thing I do have, though, are fatty fingers. Sausage fingers, my parents call them. Polish sausages (because of heritage). They have it, too. Same with my sister. Not sure about my brother, though, because he doesn’t wear jewelry. No rings, chains, nada. Not even a watch. But if everyone else has it, he probably has the same thing too.

My fingers are shaped more like pears, where it is normal close to my nails, but then widens at the, like, second phalanges, and then goes back to normal at the bottom, where rings and stuff would be at. It’s not severe, but it is pretty obvious because it makes it look like I’m wearing rings that are way too small and are suffocating my fingers. Which I’m not. I’ve gotten ‘em all sized. They just look like that LOL

So anyway, the main thing is when you’re shopping cheap, there is a very low chance you’ll find rings you like that are a., feminine, and b., fit. I wear 2 rings at all times, both on my right hand: my class ring on my ring finger, and a $3 ring with a matte-like sparkly dark blue gemstone, on a fake silver band. The place I got it from had very few feminine rings that went to a 9.5, and this one is a 10, so I wear it on my middle finger. The only other ones that were that large were these ones that were shaped like a skull with red painted eyeholes, and while I’m an alt-y girly, I’m not that extreme into it. I was thinking about it, but decided not in the end. I kinda regret it tho. Those rings were badass AF.

And also, when you go to, like, the Hot Topic website, there are not a whole lot of rings that go up that big, and the ones that do are like 30 bucks! I don’t have 30 bucks! I shop on HT clearance for a reason!

Another thing is, if your fingers are kinda short, they look extra wide according to my sister. I have big hands and longish fingers so I don’t have that, but my sister on the other hand, Robin hands. But I love my sister so I won’t rip on her too much for what she can’t control.
