first impressions

i’ve never understood asking a bunch of questions to get to know someone. i do understand icebreaker type of thing, but if you are interested in them, why bombard them with questions instead of gradually getting to know them? that feels more genuine and makes your bond real

for me personally I find asking questions easier so I can find a point where I could try to connect with them, have an idea of who this person sort of is but ofc my perception will change overtime as I gradually spend more time with them

yeah this makes sense! i think asking questions in the beginning is nice, but having all of your convos based on questions and icebreakers just feels so fake, idk how to describe it

Ah I get that, honestly I think the best way to get to know someone is through actual conversations and hangouts rather than just like directly interviewing a person
