Thinking about Smashing Pumpkins - Adore album

The Smashing Pumpkins - Adore... such a beautiful and intriguing album. I was listening to some select tracks from it yesterday, and couldn't believe how closely I connected to the songs. A song I had always liked off the album, perfect, it's such a bittersweet tune that has always tapped into my emotions. To me, I interpret it as a lover filled with regret towards a failed relationship, hoping that someday the lovers can reunite and live the perfect romance. Yesterday , I listened to Crestfallen, Appels + Oranjes and Pug. Appels is quite simple, however the arrangement of sound is deeply intriguing to me. I remember these intensely distorted industrial drums the most. Yet, I wouldn't consider the track heavy in any way. It has this serene sort of feel to it. I really loved pug, too. I'm not a huge fan of Smashing pumpkins rock or anything, however I " Adore " when corgan incorporates these beautiful melodies and synthesized sounds into his tracks. It makes for such an interesting piece.
