i had a weird dream

At my grandmother's house, somewhere far away, or in my neighborhood, also somewhere far away, in forgotten ghost towns from the memories of past owners, I was riding a scooter up the mountain road, and the sun was setting. It seemed like I had all the time in the world, but the last bus left a few hours ago, my sister walked behind me, periodically looking back, she looked at the path we had already taken but did not look ahead; There were mountains and forest, and a bus stop between them. We headed there. After we arrived, it wasn't hard to notice, that there was no transport, everyone hurried to get home as soon, as they could, leaving us to wait.

There was nothing left, so I entered the building of the city transport department, which was standing very close to the gazebo. First floor: corridors, fresh air, rays of orange light; I expected more people, but instead of them - I saw exhibits of fossils, bones that no longer held even a drop of soul, dead people with living eyes that looked through me from paintings. And not a single sound or breath. I looked into the first office. There was a large table and two chairs, a window that looked into a brick wall, and a large bookcase. Not a single person. The second office turned out to be a utility room. The third was a copy of the past one. The fourth did not open. In the fifth there were poltergeists.

The case reached the basement. The concrete castle of this building. Stairs led to it. They were lit by a lamp above that flickered often enough to scare me a little. I descended slowly, the clicking of the keyboard, the dragging of the mouse, and the buzzing of computers began to reach me. I entered the room, it smelled like wet rags, and the dim white light made my eyes sting. I had no choice, but to approach the first worker I saw.

"Excuse me, can you tell me what time the next bus leaves for _____?" I asked.

The employee, as if scalded, turned in my direction, as if he did not notice how I ended up here, didn't hear, didn't see... The stairs were just opposite his desk, is there really so much work to do? In the city transport department?

In response, I heard the following:

“Good evening, the next bus to ____? I'll take a look now. Wait here." - Said the employee and began to write some nonsense in the notes, clicked on the trash can icon, and rearranged the discarded files. "Mhm, it should be at eight o'clock tomorrow... Would you like some tea?"

For some reason, I didn't want to ask questions, so I nodded and started moving towards the exit. The man who was standing behind me all this time - significantly prevented me from continuing this action.

A loud scream echoed throughout the room. "Good evening, gentlemen! Were you going somewhere? Aren't you tired of distracting my employees?"

When my heart began to beat in the right rhythm again, I gave him an eloquent answer: "Who the fuck sneaks up on people like that, you fucking bastard, I want you to die in agony, you ragged piece of shit" - after that, I grabbed the sleeve of the underpaid laborer and hastened to excuse himself from continuing this conversation.

"How did you do it?" Orvin asked me after the waiter served us. "Magic." - It remained for me to answer. "You know, don't use this word just like that, I've been under black magic in this office for almost a year, I'm not kidding..."

After that, it appeared that I was the chosen one with the Magic black hair, and I was almost sacrificed to some stupid gods of this City Transport Department, I also had a very cool sword and I saw large mushrooms that were used to make mushroom cider, in the dungeon there was a salon, and a woman with blonde hair wanted to steal my heart. Orvin saved me, but he never left this terrible place.

The End.
