Oleander (Latin Nérium) is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the Apocynaceae family. The only species is Oleander vulgaris (Nerium oleander, the name of this species often uses the same Russian name as for the genus Nerium — "oleander"), shrubby, widespread in subtropical regions of the planet.
