Why Nintendo is still competing with Sony and Xbox

OK, so the title didn't do my topic enough justice. Here's why I think Nintendo is still competing with Xbox and PlayStation.................without actually trying to compete with Xbox and PS5!! Now, this topic has been controversial for several years, with many people denying that Nintendo is actually trying to compete with its' competitors anymore. But here's why I think Nintendo's still in the running with the other guys (keep in mind, this is coming from a Nintendo fan (not fanboy), so my points of argument might be a little skewed.)

First and foremost, Nintendo has been, and always will be, about getting the player involved with the game in some way. Some people call it a "gimmick" (yet it's fine when Xbox and PlayStation do it :/ ). I think this is crucial because Nintendo knows that just staring at a screen, not feeling like you're part of the game, is boring. They are the only company who knows how to reinvent gaming. Sony and Microsoft, sadly, do not.

Speaking of which, everyone knows (by now, I hope) Nintendo always prefers gameplay over graphics. This is because games sell a console. Graphics alone don't sell a console. You can have the best graphics in the world, but if you don't have games for it (even if the game in question doesn't meet what the console can handle), the system is sure to be a flop. This point is especially true when it comes to the launch of a system. I mean, hell, just look at the Wii!!!!! It had standard definition graphics in a console generation that already had HD graphics, yet the Wii sold like hotcakes!!!!!!!

To all the graphical whores out there, I ask you this. What's better: knowing about a consoles tech specs and having no games that reach its' max or not knowing how much the console can handle and then being blown away by how good a game looks?!?

And finally (and, no doubt, the biggest point), the exclusive games. Or, rather, the number of exclusive first-party games. No matter how many times you try to argue it, you can't deny that Nintendo has the most first-party exclusive titles. You just simply can't find Mario on Xbox or PS5 (granted, you can make a game similar to that franchise.)

Those are my points. Keep in mind, these are NOT points to persuade you into buying one console over another!!! You can still buy whatever console you like, just make sure it has the types of games you like. So, whad'ya think?!?!? Did I provide enough strong points to convince you into thinking Nintendo's still got a chance with the other guys?? Or do you still think Nintendo is doomed and will never see the light of day? Let me know in the comments.
