Injected watermelons

An urgent PSA to anyone who likes watermelon - especially Americans.

Many watermelons have been injected with a dye, to make the inside more 'reddish'. Goodness knows why anyone though this was necessary, but it is being done more and more.

Usually, the chemical used is erythrosine. This is a toxic chemical that will lodge in your muscle tissue and cause a range of problems over time. It also affects gut health. Why put poisons into your body if you can avoid them? This is especially important for Americans, whose food is the most adulterated and interfered-with in the entire world. So many unnecessary ingredients are put in American food, that it's no surprise to see so much autism, diabetes, severe allergies and gut issues in American children.

How do I know if a melon has been injected?

Before you buy the melon, check for any strange dark spot or bruising to the skin. Usually there will be a tiny hole at the centre of this spot. There could even be a foamy substance weeping from the melon.

Please look after yourself and your children.

God bless you.

They're injecting watermelons now?! Good grief, this world is a mess...
I hope that in the future they will just leave the fruit alone; let nature take its course. I have a few students that have been eating watermelon--I best go check on them.

I didn't know until last week.
Yeah, they just can't stop messing with the food. It's weird.
