It’s a shame
how the world seems
to hate rainbows.

For despite being
beautiful as ever,
they are still blamed
for the storms that
come
before them.

And oftentimes
it works.
So focused they are
on their comments,
that they forget that
rainbows always come out
after the sky weeps.

It’s a shame that
all while being a sign
of getting over hardships
they insist on trying
to dim their colours.

It’s a shame how
the world seems
to hate rainbows.
