we making it out of 80s skopje with this one

Macedonian Christian goth rock band from the former Yugoslavia - Mizar. I love only one album from them (self-titled), because I haven't listened to all of their discography yet. I'm going to plug my favourite songs however, and tell you how I feel about them.

MAGLAAAAAAAAAA - apparently it means "fog" in Macedonian, and it really channels the haunting energy of the fog, the paranoid howling, the bass taking you back to a dungeon somewhere in Serbia; it's all very enchanting to me. The use of the keyboard in whatever mode is funky and it's just enough for me to dance to. I'm not a very big headbanger.

Devojka (girls - I'm now fluent) od bronza. It feels like the tap of a magic wand juxtaposing a troll under the bed. It's calm, but then it rushes into a dazzling synth and riff. It's definitely more upbeat! It's got that Biblical attitude and fixation on RETVRNING which is typical of the 2nd Revelation era.
