Depends. Is the genre itself getting worse? It's hardly being Skrillex'd just because new kids with bass-boosted controls and essentially Nightcore as their sole base have dropped music. I'm hopeful, if That Kid picks up the mic & people who get the inherent satirical elements and experimental nature of hyperpop. Underscores released "Girls Like Us" a while back, and it was really fun!
