dabbling in themes

GOD! trying to work on coding my own themes... im alright at CSS but i have only used CSS in the context of stylesheets and websites and what-have-you so its a bit weird to understand at first on spacehey - i feel like im modifying someone elses code! and i am!

do any other theme makers have advice? looks ugly right now! but itll look better soon. i just need to get ahead and actually work on my theme. i just dont feel like doing anything else right now.
