I definitely recommend "Let's Go Baby! Suffocation" but its more fun to play that with some online friends !! It's free and I really like the aquarium world (i forgot what its called in the files) to just chill in (but you do have to complete the first half of the story to be able to get to it YmY) !! Outcore is one of the best free games in steam, Tukoni and ubaste, they not too popular but really cute games. and doki doki if you like visual novel. you can search more free and indie games in itch.io too

Moe Era isn't talked about much in the free visual novel scene, maybe due to its resemblance in style to DDLC even though the comparison doesn't fit at all. It's... weird in its own unique way if that makes sense (not horror tho so dw).
For shooter I'll give you Xonotic since it's FOSS
Rhythm I'll stick to OSU
I'll throw in one of my favourite "hidden gems" of free pc games, even though it doesn't really fit any of the genres you indicated exactly: Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist. It's free 1h ish game from the director of The Stanley Parable. Sort of a narrated walking sim? Try it out, it's super fun!
