(05/30) stuck at home (temporarily) | entry #1 (used to be #15)

hello spacehey!
i didn't intend on having my joke about the break between updates actually be 3 months, but here we are! haha! in truth, i was considering making the update closer to my birthday, but that'd be a bit too long of a break. at least, i think so.

anyhow, what's been up with me? well, for starters, i have a job again! i know, how thrilling. it's at a taco bell i've lived by for a long while, but it's been giving me a bit of anxiety to be honest. due to whatever that causes my legs and feet to ache from standing up, working front register is just as much of a pain (literally) as working on register spirit was. spirit had a little more to do though. i guess that comes with working in retail, lol. most of the day i just restock the sauce packets near the drink machine, clean tables, and make the occasional drink for an online order or freeze. (fun fact, that last part is my favorite. especially making the dragonfruit ones.)
it's an alright-paying job, but i'm currently stuck at home with a severe allergy flare-up. taking a shower to open my sinuses and immediately getting them clogged up with my allergy to dust again is probably the worst experience ever. they never tell you just how miserable you feel during it

enough about my job, though. i have something much more exciting! a figure i've been trying to hunt down for at least a year now finally popped up on the market and i got it for an early birthday present! proud to say, she's just as beautiful as the old promotional images portray her.


so pretty... i can't believe i actually own her now! feels weird to say that, but she is a figure. hehe

she detaches from the vacuum, actually! i didn't expect it, but she does. a pleasant surprise! she now sits on my desk, encouraging me to keep doing... whatever i have to do for the day. what a beauty!

i should've mentioned this prior (shows my sense of importance), but i finally graduated! we had a practice run a while ago, but i actually got my diploma relatively recently. it was a drag and a nightmare to try desperately to finish my work by the deadline seniors were held to, but i actually did it! standing on the ramp, waiting to walk across the stage... i hadn't felt that sick to my stomach in a while. i was so nervous! it was just a simple walk though, and i managed to have my time in the spotlight. i did notice i got far fewer claps and cheers from my colleagues before and after me. guess that happens when you're not part of a clique. i have no idea how cliques formed at an online school, but hey. i'm graduated. it's not my problem. :-)
i got a few gifts from family though! a lot of it was art supplies, the thing every art kid is subjected to, but it wasn't bad! i did ask for those crayons, to be fair. i got a couple of the games i lost a while back, and getting to play mario kart again feels like a long-awaited breath of fresh air. how dumb. x)
i got a nikon camera too, of which i'm still getting the pieces for. ... as in, like.. a camera bag and strap. don't worry, i'm not building the damn thing, haha. i got it for a good 40 dollars at a goodwill, and it goes for... way more online, so it seems like i made the right choice! i'm having a lot of fun with it, but it does make me feel a little silly. why would someone prefer being on the recording side of the camera? :-)
(is that too much usage of that face at once? i can't tell. all i know is that it looks friendly. :-))

hmm, what else to say... oh, wait. i have to update you guys on something else noteworthy.
i'm sure you remember the guy i caught a stray crush on back at spirit halloween, right? with how little i update this page, it seems like i never shut up about him, but i promise he's been out of my mind for a good while since. until now, it seems! it's official, i have a problem

i plan on updating this soon, but don't count on it. i might make the break four months this time! hahaha. let's hope it doesn't get there.
