I take strong issue with the idea that anybody below the age of 13, 15 or whatever isn't allowed access to the internet. What denies kids the right to connect, consume, learn and get advice the way we do? Just because they might come into your mentions and annoy you...? Not to mention the usage of it as an escape from one's life...
Supervision? Sure, I think the filtration systems on Images are low quality and there should definitely be more safety PSAs like when I was younger about basic online safety. So many people have their whole lives with one IG handle away, and I kinda fear for my age group getting a job.
But it should also be the priority of the adults they interact with to make sure those kids are not abused - a kid abandoned in public is everybody's responsibility, and that should be repeated online. No 6 year old is on Discord, so this is about the 9-17 demo, aka kids spending most time online. Do not ask me where I got that metric.

Even putting aside opinions on who should be allowed online or not, the fact is that there will be kids on the internet, allowed or not. So, yeah, I think that idea that you'll encounter minors online should be acknowledged a lot more
though i dunno how much of a fan i am with youtube's policies regarding age-friendly stuff hmReport Comment

As a kid you're taught relevant information for your age, and learn things through a caring parents, and at school. Like when you're fresh to being in this world and will be guided through whats suitable for you When we grow and change it's appropriate to expand our horizons perhaps online I think, since we're no longer here for the basics
I also firmly believe you shouldn't be escaping from your life on the internet if you're below 15, what for? those are the best times of your life in childhood :)
