dr. robotnik's ring racers!!

"man, i sure do love mario kart! doom is also really fun. sonic is so cool, too... i wish there was a game that was all 3 in one!"
- no one, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be AWESOME!!!

and awesome it is!!!! dr. robotnik's ring racers (or drrr) (or srb2k2/2.0) (or ring racers) (or some other variation i can't think of) is an incredibly fun game and i love it...

one of the first things that i noticed is that it's a lot more skill based than other kart racers (mario kartr i'm specifically reecerring to mair okatr) and i kind of love that?? it feels so much more satisfying when you win, and there's a lot less bs compared to mario kart sonic and sega all-stars racing. wins feel so much more earned in it and i love that.

the selection of characters is also awesome!! there's characters you'd expect, like titular character dr. robotnik, tails, amy,e tc, but there are characters that completely surprised me (pleasantly)! like tikal, surge, and my all-time favorite honey the cat!!!!

i also love the energy the game has. it's very high energy (and also kind of overstimulating!! but imo in a good way, like being in an arcade!! :P) and it ends up being pretty fun to watch, even moreso than a game like poppy kart (bonus points if you know wth that is XD) and it's awesome!!!!!

like its predecessor, srb2k, and its base, srb2, and. like. every doom ever. there is a greaty modding community behind it with some really neat characters! plenty of oc mods, a friggin scott pilgrim mod, and many more!! it's really cool and it's awesome to see the passion put into everything and even see come of my favorite crossover characters racing alongside my favorite sonics. there are even mods that bring in sonic characters excluded from the base game, like one of my faves, kit(sunami), or lanolin!!

very fun game. hats off to kart krew for taking a game that was already enjoyable and making it something i actively want to go back to!!
