Final cover for "ghosts go home: poems for Emma"

I assumed that Dave Mitchell would not be able to equal his cover for pig correspondence. That was fucking awesome. But ghosts go home is beyond awesome.

It was pretty much a divine intervention. Emma chose a picture of her beautiful self, &, when Dave saw it, with his eyes, he immediately saw the whole completed cover design. In a similar way I just type the poems very freely. I can even write a whole poem & not mention nipples even once, & that's an addictive word & body part. I'm not saying that this is usual, but it has happened. This is because the goddess wants me to love Emma, & she is now not only directing the writing, but sorting out the artwork. The goddess won't do promotional work, though, & would not help me if I were a dickhead who cared about sales. At Oneiros Books we are on a mission from god(dess).

A wanker wrote the blurb, even though he's only a shadow of the cunt he used to be. Here it is.

ghosts go home is David C. McLean's second book about his distaste for temporality, the insane goddess who refuses prayers, & his great love for Emma. There is more of a BDSM theme to this book, along with age play, pop culture references, less philosophy than usual, more sex. Inspiration, apart from Emma, is drawn from Roky Erickson, de Chirico, the Sisters of Mercy, Joakim Thåström, Gertrude Stein, phenomenology, & spanking.

McLean himself manages to just avoid pornography, although the lady for whom it was written states "The poems are becoming pure deviant pornography. Let it happen."

Anyway, release set for two weeks tomorrow. That would be the 19th of February. So! Here is the most beautiful lady ever, anywhere. This is my goddess, & the original goddess wants me to worship Emma, & I do. It's all she cares about, because the goddess who created the cosmos is severely psychotic & does not care for worship & prayer.

Thanks. I'm so pleased by the whole thing. She's my muse. It's a trite & really out of date thing to say, but it's true.
