29.05.24 ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪ the return of old interests & nostalgia

t's almost the end of may! here's another blog update before the month ends, since i said i would try to update monthly.

i'm back to my obsession with madoka, which was an anime i was obsessed with ten years ago. it's interesting revisiting it now that i'm an adult, especially for its philosophical aspects. i love how deep each character is, especially homura. i think her character goes beyond the concept of good and evil, and forces the viewer to find the grey in her. anyways, i rewatched the entire anime and rebellion with my best friend, she saw it for the first time and really enjoyed it too  i can't wait for the new movie to come out this year! i've also been looking at madoka fanarts on tumblr and have seen amazing ones!

i also have been obsessed with watching japanese movies from the early 2000s. ironically, before i went to the mental hospital, i was obsessed with troubled girls movies. now, i'm obsessed with movies that feel nostalgic. recently i've watched the movies blue, a bride for rip van winkle, take care of my cat (this one is korean), and linda linda linda. i really recommend them! i got a lot more recommendations from my best friend (the same who watched madoka) so i'll probably say more next month! 

music wise, i've been obsessed with ayleen valentine's album little rainbows after death. i can't pick a favorite song because all of them are amazing! i also really enjoyed aespa's full album
