spider-man: back to basics: this one's a full-length fanfilm (around 1 hour 28 minutes long)!!! it's a very neat take on spider-man and is actually a sequel to another film called spider-man: power and responsibility, and a third movie called spider-man and the spectacular spider-verse is on its way by the same creator!!! eric elliot is the writer, director, AND lead actor (peter parker) in this movie!! here is the synopsis... (taken from the description of the film)

"After discovering what kind of hero he wants to be, Peter Parker struggles to live up to his own expectations. Meanwhile the spectacular Spider-Man must also find the Lizard, stop the Green Goblin, and win back his ex-girlfriend Gwen Stacy. Oh! While also trying not to get scratched by The Wolverine!"

mutants play an important role to the plot, the jokes are pretty funny though a bit corny at times, eric elliot gives it his all as peter parker... what's not to love??!?! there's some flaws to the movie of course, but that doesn't mean it isn't good!!! it's clearly a wonderful little passion project, and i'm so excited to see where the next movie goes!!

the spider: this is a short spider-man horror film (around 9-10 minutes long) about how things could've gone way differently when peter was bit by the radioactive spider... directed by andy chen, the film stars chandler riggs as peter parker (who you may recognize as carl grimes from the walking dead!!) who absolutely KILLS it in this frightening horror piece!! the synopsis simply reads...

"What if Peter Parker were bitten by a spider but not transformed in a superhero, but something scarier?"

if you love spider-man and body horror, this one's for you!!! it gets pretty gross, so if stuff like vomit and someone having one too many eyes and limbs makes you squeamish, i suggest skipping out on this one!! but i do recommend this film if you can stomach it!!

gambit: playing for keeps: this is a short film, (20 minutes long) and this one's based off everyone's favorite card-wielding cajun!! you know him, you love him, GAMBIT!!!! the film was directed and written by jensen noen, (also written by joe grayem) and stars nick bateman as the charming remy lebeau himself!!! the synopsis reads...

"Superhero Gambit is invited to play in a high stakes card game. But it turns out his host is an old enemy out for revenge, and the other players all want him dead. To make matters worse, they're holding Rogue hostage to prevent him from using his powers."

honestly??? i liked it a lot!!! my only gripe has to be the excessive swearing. idk, it just kinda dampened down the movie a little... i do like the visuals, though!!! very nice for a fan film!!! also, i think gambit in this film is the most accurate live-action gambit that we're ever gonna get, and i love it!!!!!! (unless marvel decides to step it up when the mcu x-men movie comes out eventually, but that's a bit unlikely...)
