Simplicity
To fill your cup, you'll first need to empty it.
Having too many things, tasks, plans, responsibilities neither help you accomplish them, nor does it help you do them well. It's okay to say no.
Simplify your space from stuff and the things that really have meaning in your life will be more readily available to you. Hone in on the tasks that really matter to you and your sense of accomplishment along with your contentment will grow.
Plan to do less and you'll reach accomplish more! And only plan more if it does not interfere with the other meaningful things in your life. The less responsibilities you have the better. No sense in having YOUR time occupied with responsibilities if you could be achieving what you want instead!
And remember other good habits along the way... Cut negative people, inputs or habits from your life, use relaxation techniques: Listening to soothing sounds like ocean waves, breezes, meditate, nature, walk in the park to help clear your mind.
Nutrition
Your body is literally made of what you eat. You can make it healthy by eating healthy. We are descendant from great apes! And when was the last time you saw a great ape eat how humans eat today, jamming junk and processed foods, excessive fats, and sugars down our throats? As the Phyicians Committe for Responsible Medicine suggests, the best diet for health is one that consists mainly of equal parts fruits, grains, legumes and vegetables. You can find more about it at this link Vegan Starter Kit (pcrm.org).
Activity
Choose what you do and don't do wisely. Healthy people tend to stay active, actively doing what they enjoy! If you're not one of the lucky whose work is their passion, and that passion keeps their bodies moving, be sure to give your body and mind activities that engage you like games, gardening, walking. These types of activities hardly feel like exercise if you enjoy them enough. Also, look into group activities. They will enrich your body and your social life.
Purpose
Your purpose will give your life meaning. Admittedly this is the hardest for me and possibly to most. Finding what your purpose is in life seems to me too lofty of a task, but choosing something meaningful and making it your purpose is more attainable. If you're like me and did not grow up knowing you were going to be an astronaut no matter what, then choose something in this world you enjoy and can help others by doing even if it's only part time.
