no they don't <3 mosquitoes are pollinators and eat nectar more than blood (only females laying eggs need blood and a lot of species don't bite humans) and of course they are part of the food chain, as a food source for things like birds and lizards and the larvae help to recycle nutrients. genetic engineering is being used to reduce mosquitoes' ability to transmit disease, too. and also they are animals like all the cute ones, only a bit annoying, and we humans should be working to prevent extinction :)

In Iceland flies don't exist so it's probably the same for them aswell
