badly written characters [SPOILERS FOR KNY AND ONE PIECE]

if i had a penny for each character whose personality was exchanged for fanservice i would have 3 pennies. which isnt much but its INFURIATING that it happens.

not sure how many of you are familiar with characters like zenitsu from demon slayer or sanji from one piece, but oh my god they are SO badly written, at least in certain aspects

by that i mean that both of them have this character "quirk" which makes them harrass women because its haha funny

yeah ok sure i get it its funny at first (its not) but ita so overused that it genuenly gets annoying and their whole personality gets overwritten by this aspect.

in zenitsu's case, hes actually such a good and realistic character when you think about it. its true, he's kind of a wimp, but it works out because in the infinity castle arc when he fights demon kaigaku, the attitude he takes is the exact opposite, which shows just how much he hates him. that's an AMAZING writing decision, but why does he have to chase women around all the time, even when they VERBALLY TELL HIM thats theyre uncomfortable. a character doesnt have to harrass people for comedy. they could've just made him shy or something.

the bigger problem is with sanji. i get that his "obsession" (not really an obsession but you get it if you watched like one episode that has him in it) with women ties to his backstory and stuff, but why does he have to thirst over each and every woman (INCLUDING UNDERAGE GIRLS) when hes a full on adult. he basically HAS to harrass a woman every episode, cause thats the comedy standard in one piece. its not even that bad pre timeskip, but ive heard post timeskip sanji is even worse. i loved him in the first episode he appeared, cause he had more of a "flirty" personality rather than just simping for every feminine character. why couldn't they keep him flirty.
