senior year is ending, what to do now? (15)

5/26/24

so it has been about a month since my last blog post, and somehow that is not shocking AT ALL considering i don't care for consistency LOL. anyways, my highschool senior year is coming to an end.

what does this mean? well, i started this spacehey account around a year ago when i was on a small vacation. i figured that blogging and talking about random shit would be fun, and that i would keep it from all my friends just because i wasn't going to treat it like a traditional social media.

now 11 months later, i am a senior in highschool who is about to graduate in roughly a month. it's a weird feeling knowing im going to graduate because i feel like when everyone is younger they imagine how their years in highschool will go, or watch series online replicating some sort of experience.

for me, i grew up thinking that my highschool experience was going to be filled with drama and all these crazy things were going to be happening, but my experience was nothing like that. my freshman year was taken up by covid, and the next year, i transferred to a private school for the beginning of my sophmore year and then ended up transferring back to my original highschool. as for my junior year, it was so fun and yet so stressful with all the testing that was just rotting my brain whole.

senior year though? it has been one of the best years of my life. i have never felt more grateful for the people i talk to EVERY SINGLE DAY than i ever have in my life, and i am so lucky to have people who i can call friends. i feel like i've met so many people this year and it just has felt so different and even though college is next year and i probably will stop talking to a lot of the people i do talk to now, i will be forever grateful of this year. even if it wasn't the typical highschool i watched growing up, it definitely feels like a good end to the year.

this post goes out to all my current friends, teachers (especially ms. machtemes, mr. abernathy, ms. monda, and mr.simms), and my family.

thank you all.
