Hey there reader!
Welcome to Devlogue #1 — In this edition we'll be checking out NZ:P or Nazi Zombies: Portable
You may download it on their GitHub here.
Or play it online on your browser here.
Continuing on, I've been testing out making maps for NZ:P... Which has proven to be a challenge, even though the map making process is similar to GoldSrc and Source games. NZ:P uses a fork of QuakeC which means things are a little different from Hammer.
The tool I'm using is TrenchBroom; a quake level editor. And so far learning about quake related mapping has been pretty smooth as I'm an experienced Hammer (Valve level editor) user.
Here's my little test I put together:
I've also made a model out of complex brushwork to add in my future map:
That's really everything I have so far.
Thanks for reading the first devlogue!
