the amount of hate for the tcc has gone too far. (tw)

before i get into this id like to make it clear that I do not support people who idolize or romanticize true crime whatsoever and im not defending the people who do idolize or romanticize true crime. im speaking as a witness to many instances of this and speaking as a witness who doesn’t think this shit is okay.

so, from what ive seen, the tcc is common on this website, and the hate for the tcc is also common on this website. i totally understand the hate, but from what ive seen, too many people take it too far. i have watched countless people wish death among the tcc. i have seen the tcc been doxxed, given death threats, etc. THAT IS NOT OKAY. it’s not only on this website, but it’s more prominent here. it’s just as bad to dox people and send death threats to people, no matter the person, as it is to romanticize true crime. additionally, I believe doxxing and death threats are both ILLEGAL, unlike being part of the tcc. 

just because someone does something horrible doesn’t mean you shouldn’t combat it with another horrible thing. that’s not how it works. this applies to everything, not just the tcc.

this behavior needs to stop. your actions affect others. cut this shit out.
