the outsiders movieee

So for the last three days of school, we had to watch the Outsiders movie since yk the school year is over and there's nothing else to do and I have opinions and no one to tell them to (if u can't tell this is just a yapping session). Okay so I might be a little biased since I really liked the book and I read more than I do watch movies but I feel like it was just missing a lot and It didn't make me feel what I did when I read the book. I think this might just be because in the book since it's Ponyboy's pov and it's his best friends who died the author just might be good at making you really feel what the characters feel idk but either way, it didn't have as much impact in the movie to me and it seemed more like a slideshow of moments instead of something really thought out.  I would chop it up as just the time it was released but I also looked at a couple other movies that were out the  time of release and they didn't have this issue. This is not to say it's not a decent movie but it's not really a good adaption of the book (any fans of the movie that happen to stumble upon me pls don't shoot meee)
