Web 2 is stuff like Club Penguin, MySpace, and other social media platforms in their heyday. This era harbored skeuomorphism and frutiger aero

Web 3 is all ai crypto nft shit, basically what Elon Musk wants twitter to be

For one, Web 3 is shitty, barely any customization, flat and boring, Twitter being called "X", and so on.

Another, Web3 is where art theft, ponzi schemes, and scammers thrive. With Web3, any privacy you'll have left on you will be obliterated

As average joes who don't do much, being on Spacehey is one of the best things we can do. We should also search for platforms that havent given in to Web3 (good example I know is Tumblr), but also if you are on Windows 11, go to Taskbar settings and disable Copilot. If you are able to without losing data, downgrade to Windows 7 or earlier, or preferably switch to Linux. If you are a Mac user, I would also suggest downgrading, and if you are an iphone user, I suggest switching to Android, I know a lot of these may be hard and not preferred, but do whatever you must.

As for more technologically capable users, try developing privacy focused alternatives to platforms like Twitter and Facebook and Instagram, I know there are some out there, but hit it big and you'll reap the rewards (my best suggestion is to start a fundraiser and make an app)

As for sites too big to avoid like Youtube and Discord, try using addons to make them look better
