I don't think ppl have the right to hate someone's taste in music, I mean ppl don't have the same lifestyle as you so the way they see life is not the same as you that's why they don't have the same taste in music as other ppl, it depends on the character of the person you see.
People naturally have different tastes like you said, so people are gonna end up liking and disliking (and loving and hating) different things. I don't think it's inherently a bad thing to hate someone else's music taste, because it doesn't really effect the person you're hating on. I tried to get all my friends into The Sawtooth Grin and they told me it sounded like total noise, and the guy doing vocals sounded like he was being lit on fire. Like, 6 months later, I still listen to the band on the regular.
It really isn't all that serious though, to be honest. It ony a tune.
