RequestForComment - on Moral, a hypothesis.
Ok, this is a bit of a shower thought. But since I thought about it for a while, I'm not sure if it still counts as such. Well anyways, here is the hypothesis:
Moral is the lessons learned through ethical evaluation and conflicts. No matter if it's internal or external.
And with the way moral displays itself and plays an important role
within society, I figure that there is are common primitives, as well as
cultural and circumstantial differences. Which could be explained by
the challenges and tools present.
Building on this I figure that there is a scale of that knowledge, ranging between surface level (fresh result, looking up with no emotional connection) and a very deep and reinforced level (high emotional intuition).
As a result of that, I conclude that ethical and moral evolution happens within the development and adoption of new tools and schools, as well as the shift in the problems the culture has to handle. And to ensure the best outcome and no devolution we never should rest the discussion. Because:
- how else are we going to develop new tools to solve the ever new scale of problems.
- else we fall victim to unfit ethical solutions and moral.
- not the least because there are unfit ethical solutions and morals that have strong and unreflected support.
So when you have time on hand. challenge your ethical tools, and your believe for a bit.
Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.
PS: this is no more than a hypothesis. RFC.
PPS: I know that there are many different philosophical models that may or maynot describe what I just wrote down. However, none of them are known to me.
