Alternative to Spotify - Downloading Songs (resources)

Hello! I've seen people annoyed (rightfully) at spotify, and I'd recommend downloading songs for an alternative.

But of course, not everyone wants to just go to any random website to do so, so I use this app:

aTube Catcher - The last update is from 2022 but it works wonderfully, it downloads from youtube the best but I do think it can download from some other websites, you might need to try. 
It's for windows.

For a music player on PC, ios or android I'd recommend an old buddy: WinAmp, which on PC you can personalize with the thousands of skins that exist since 1990. This app can also edit your metadata easily if you edit a file inside of it, and does have some subscription services but they're entirely optional.
