What Remains Of Yesterday

Another day, another chance

Another play on arrogance

Another lover, another play

And chances ungiven yesterday

He’s in love with a ghost, across the way

She’s a graphite specter, just past the street

Her hollow mind is sonder-gray

And she’s bundled in her finest sheets

Another lover, another play

And chances ungiven yesterday

Another day, another chance

Another play on arrogance

He couldn’t fall asleep that night

He chews the skin right off his bones

And he wishes he could die

So he slits his wrists and crosses his eyes

Effortless, but alone

She’s trapped within a sluggish prance

She tries to scream, but she can’t

He’s trapped within eternal night

He tries to sleep, but he’s denied

No more chances, no more plays

No more lovers, no more days

Yet, they'll remain

Yes, they'll remain
