goth IRL rant.

i would give up literally anything for subcultures to be alive and thriving in the "real world" as opposed to everything just being online. where did all of the goth clubs go? there used to be several alternative clubs close to where i live, but now it seems like there are only a few in the entire STATE that i live in. what happened to IRL subcultural stores? literally where the fuck are all of the alternative people in my city??? it seems like subculture is solely thriving online today, especially for younger people. it's so disheartening to me. i don't want to spend ages getting all goth'ed up, just to post a few tiktoks and instagram stories, and have no place where i can meet people who are into the same music (and fashion) as i am in person. fuck that shit.

i realize how fucking ironic it is that i'm ranting about everyone being online... to an online website, but where the fuck else am i gonna talk about this shit? there doesn't even seem to be any tangible scene where i live!

Ya, the sense of community and overall fun is just...gone...

I don't even know where to begin to find any clubs or underground scenes, and to top it off, people don't seem as genuine or fun anymore. I WANNA PARTY!! I WANNA DANCE!!

Something I hope is that AI proliferates to such a level that nobody can be certain that the internet is being used by humans or AI, and so if someone wants to be certain that they're communicating with people, they'll have no choice but to talk in the real world. Too much AI might destroy the "human" internet, which might in turn make people return to real-world interaction!
