my librarian friend who I may never see again

Ah well, usually people write about travel, events or anything from their lives on blogs. but since my life is boring I have nothing to say about that, so I'm going to talk about a friend I had.

He was my school's librarian until the beginning of this year and his name was George. Since I started school he has always been very friendly to everyone, and as I spent most of my breaks in the library, we would sometimes talk. I also rented more books than most other students, which made him remember my name faster, and I always made some comments about the books I rented, often praising them. After a while, he started giving me some papers with song names and orchestra videos for me to listen to, and he always asked if I had heard them the next day. I confess that they weren't my favorite musical genres, but the vast majority of those he recommended were very good. Sometimes I would also recommend a song or singer that I thought he might like, but like most people I knew who offered it to me, there weren't many I could introduce to him. Sometimes, on random days, he decided to teach me and my friends algebra, they didn't take it seriously and ignored it, but I kept thinking he had taught it to me, because I had never seen that subject.

There was a time when I moved away from my friends and that meant I spent more time in the library, which made us talk a lot more.

At the beginning of this year I was still talking to him, it was nice to see him again after the holidays, since unlike my other friends I didn't talk to him on social media. however, a few months ago, the main librarian went on vacation or whatever, and the library had to be closed for a month. I wondered why George didn't take her place. When the library finally opened again, he was no longer there, but I decided to wait a few days because he didn't go every day. but 2 weeks passed and he still hadn't shown up. I decided to ask the librarian if she knew anything, and she told me what I feared: he had retired. I was planning to give him a book every year that I make on Teachers' Day, even though he's not exactly a teacher, but it wasn't possible.

I'm still going to make these books as the date is still far away, but when I do, I'll see if I can get someone from the school to send them to him. I don't have any information about him other than his first name and age, so it's impossible for me to get in touch with him. I don't want you to think it was something strange, okay? We talked about normal topics, and despite him being much older than me, he was completely healthy.

Anyway, if I manage to deliver the book to him, I'll give you an update, see you later XD
